Why everyone keeps coming back.

Nestled along the scenic FA 237, 236 Baguio - La Trinidad - Bontoc Road in La Trinidad, Benguet, Afar Cafe blends the intimate charm of a cozy coffee shop with the inviting warmth of a casual restaurant. This gem offers a thoughtfully curated menu featuring comfort meals, ramyun, pancakes, and a variety of beverages, all affordably priced at ₱100. Whether you're in the mood for a simple yet satisfying meal or a refreshing drink, Afar Cafe beckons with its approachable fare that promises familiarity and delight.

Step inside, and you are greeted by a uniquely Instagrammable ambiance that reflects a soothing, slightly dimmed lighting scheme lending it an esthetic yet intimate vibe. Though some patrons have found the interior a bit warm during peak hours, the overall atmosphere strikes a perfect balance for relaxed conversation and quiet solitude. The spacious layout boasts two floors with thoughtfully partitioned areas, catering to groups seeking a lively hangout or individuals in need of a calm space to focus — as one reviewer noted, it’s a great spot for working remotely thanks to fast and reliable Wi-Fi.

The friendly staff at Afar Cafe elevate the experience with attentive and warm service, making each visit pleasant and welcoming. Many guests appreciate the quick serving times, with wholesome meals and refreshing drinks arriving promptly to satisfy those eager for a hearty bite without the wait. Most memorable are the simple pleasures: the spicy wings that kick just enough heat, the comforting ramyun, and the creamy, satisfying milk tea — a favored pick that lingers on the palate. While some dishes like the chicken might come without sauce and could benefit from a little extra flavor, the overall food experience manages to satisfy cravings and keep patrons coming back.

Afar Cafe’s playful edge reveals itself through its selection of games available for borrowing, offering an added layer of fun that enhances social gatherings and casual meetups. Though some specialty drinks like their soju have sparked mixed reactions due to their sweetness and serving style, the genuine enthusiasm of the cafe’s vibe and the honest food offerings create a welcoming haven for those seeking a quiet yet engaging spot away from the crowd.

In all, Afar Cafe stands as a cozy oasis in La Trinidad, where the combination of laid-back comfort food, soothing aesthetic, and friendly warmth invites you to pause, savor, and connect — be it with friends, work, or simply your own thoughts.

We went there with my friends to eat early dinner, The staff are friendly with great service, food is also delicious but the soju we ordered is a little bit disappointing kasee parang juice lang siya it's better to serve it sana sa mismong bottle but anyway we enjoyed it. The ambiance is esthetic perso masyadong dim yung lightings, mainit sa loob pero kerrii naman, they also have games you can borrow, medyo masikip pero there's a lot of tables naman meron din sa taas. All in all we enjoyed staying there.

The food was good, sakto sa panlas, 2-3 mins the my drinks were serve already. Then 5 mins my meal were served also. So Hindi ka magugutom sa kakahintay. Staff were friendly and easy to ask for assistance. Wifi is provided. Ventilated area. Mirrors are everywhere. Instagramable cafe, not so crowded and more seats and tables available.

A good space to hang-out with kinda different theme with both floors and partitioned depending on the group type. We only had a fruit yogurt and it tasted like the store bought one just added with fruits, not recommended

Perfect place for people who wants a quiet and not crowded eating place. Been here twice. First time with a friend and yes it's a good place to have a chat, in a low tone n9t noisy way Food is okay. I'm just not sure why their chicken (2 slice of chicken) didn't came with any sauce, Should I've asked for a gravy?

Great service and atmosphere. Perfect place to do some work with fast wifi. Not a fan of the chicken because it's a bit dry. Good coffee though. Tried the spicy wings with group of friends and they're also okay. Medyo pricey din pala especially yung ordinary drinks. Very outdated yung nasa menu dito. Update: I tried their pasta, medyo not a fan of the chewy texture. Masarap yung milk tea. I will still keep coming back because the place is great to hangout.

I went there for the second time and their tiramisu is the best. Hope they have a bigger one . The second time though they forgot to serve it. Service is good. Atmosphere relaxing and not noisy. If you are studying it is there.

Staffs are nice, kind and accommodating. Service wasn't that long. Serves variety of food. Good for groups. Ordered carbonara and it wasn't for me, hope they change their sauce because it's bland and not that creamy. The chicken on the side is good though. For matcha drinks, the staff asks how strong would you like your matcha, very good.

Afar Café is definitely one of my go-to cafés now. It's near where I live and I have definitely zero problems coming back again and again from time to time. They serve a variety of foods/drinks from Japanese to Filipino and even local Cordilleran food. Food: It was actually quite amazing, the flavors really get in your mouth and you have a variety of choices to choose from. It's pretty nice seeing a café actually competing with other shops nearby. Coffee? They have it. Pizza? Chicken? Pasta? Salads? Rice Meals? Oh boy they have more than you expect. Taste is quite good, and doesn't have that kind of "too strong" flavor. Price is just right for the quality of the items, I could even say "student-friendly" for some of them. Service: Absolutely amazing. Everytime I visit, the turnover for the drinks is under 10 minutes, and under 20 minutes for the food items. Absolutely amazing. The staff is always at the entrance greeting you and giving you the menu and is very responsive to the customers, again to compare to other shops that I have visited. The only problem some time ago was that my order was not followed, therefore was not able to confirm the authenticity of one item in the menu. Nonetheless, great staff, very friendly and helpful. Edit: They keep getting my order wrong on one item, which slightly disappoints me. They keep giving me the latte version even if i explicitly asked, and repeated, my order. Edit 2: Matcha is not ceremonial grade, and the taste is a bit sweet for plain Uji matcha (maybe some syrup was added to the drink). The claim to be 100% may not be there, but the taste is pretty similar. This will, however, not affect the ratings greatly. 「Service Top Point: Unlike other cafés where you need to take cash out everytime you order, they have multiple ways of payment (GCash, and even credit/debit card), which is very convenient for people who don't really like bringing cash and coins.」 Ambience: In simple words: cozy and relaxing. This is a great place to hangout, study, or just to listen to ambient noises around and outside the shop. The music is subtle that you can still talk to people, an area where you can sit on the floor while playing board games or just so you can lay down after eating/drinking, and an area near the window where you actually have a partial view of the sky, and can see the lights from the shops/malls outside. Definitely simple and relaxing experience. Overall, I highly recommend this shop, and I hope to see more branches pop-up in La Trinidad or even in Baguio. 抹茶の真正性は正確ではないかもしれない。 ありがとうございます!
